POTW – Winter 2020 – Week 1
New to the Winter 2020 Season and replacing the 3 Stars of The Week will be Players of The Week. Unlike the 3 Stars of The Week, Players of the Week will be looking at personal accomplishments instead of just taking whoever had the most points from every week. With that being said here are the Players of the Week for the week of January 26th.
Inco Six Pack Player of The Week – C.J. Boxler, F, Purple Parrots
The Purple Parrots had questions of who would play forward after ending the draft with 3 defensemen. And it was C.J. Boxler who ended up there. Boxler took full advantage of his increased offensive zone time by scoring his first career hat-trick as well as providing 2 assists to finish the night with 5 points.
Jeremy Hobor, F, Purple Parrots
Jeremy Hobor made his JHRL debut on Sunday and immediately announced his arrival by scoring 12 goals and assisting on 3 to finish with league single-game point record of 15 points. Hobor sits on the top of in points and goals and will be interesting to see if anyone can catch him.
Cory Mesteller, F, Blue Barracudas
It did not take long for Mesteller to adjust to his new team as he netted an opening night hat-trick against the Silver Snakes. Mesteller played a tough two-way game that he is known for, creating all kinds of problems for the Snakes. He also assisted on 2 goals and finished with 5 points.
