Players of The Week - Week 5- Winter 2020

POTW – Winter 2020 – Week 5

Red Jaguar’s forward Chad Davis, Red Jaguar’s defenders Scott Basset and Travis Turchak and Silver Snakes’s forward Pat Callahan have been named the JRHL’s Players of the Week for the week of March 1st.

Inco Six-Pack Player of The Week – Chad Davis, F, Red Jaguars

The Red Jaguars were looking for a bounce back after a poor performance against the Snakes. The Jaguars cruised to an easy win over the Parrots 10-3. Forward Chad Davis had the best night of the bunch scoring 4 goals and assisting on an additional 4 to finish with 8 points.

Scott Basset & Travis Turchak – D, Red Jaguars

Another big reason the Red Jaguars cruised to a victory on Sunday, was the play of their defenders. The Parrots who are the leagues highest scoring team was shutdown by the Jaguars. The Jaguars gave the Parrots no room to breath out there and after 2 periods of play the Parrots could only get 16 shots on goal. When it was all said and done the Jaguars held the Parrots to only 3 goals.

Pat Callahan, F, Silver Snakes

Callahan continues to have an impressive rookie season with the Snakes, with another solid performance against the Iguanas. Callahan bagged a hat-trick and set up his teammates 5 times to end the night with 8 points.
