Johnstown Roller Hockey League · Updated September 9, 2026
The JRHL app and this website are run by the Johnstown Roller Hockey League, a recreational hockey league. We keep the league's schedule, scores and records here so players and their families can follow along. We are not in the business of collecting data about you, and this page describes exactly what we do hold.
What we don't do
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone, and never will.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- You do not need an account to use the app. Browsing is completely anonymous.
League information we publish
The point of the app is to publish league records, so the following is public by design: player names, jersey numbers, positions, team assignments, and game and season statistics. Some of this goes back to 2019.
We do not publish addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, or any other personal contact details, and we do not ask for them. Shirt sizes are recorded for jersey orders and are visible only to league administrators.
If you play in the league and want your name removed from the public pages, write to us and we will take it down.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Apple gives the app an anonymous device token and we store it so we can send you game alerts and live score updates. The token identifies a copy of the app on a device — not you. It is not linked to a name, an email address or anything else about you, and it is used only to deliver notifications from this league.
Turning notifications off in iOS Settings stops them. The token becomes invalid when you delete the app, and Apple tells our server to discard it the next time we try to use it.
Accounts, for league officials only
League administrators and scorekeepers sign in to enter scores. Those accounts store a name, an email address and a password, which is stored hashed and is never readable by us. Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in; it is strictly necessary for the app to work and is not used for tracking. There are no accounts for anyone else, and nothing about ordinary visitors is stored on our server.
What your device keeps to itself
The app remembers your light or dark theme preference on your own device, and stores a copy of recent scores and the schedule so it can still show them when the rink's signal drops. The Apple Watch app keeps the same kind of copy. None of this leaves your device or reaches us, and all of it disappears when you delete the app.
Where the data lives, and who else sees it
Everything is stored on a single private server we operate, and is sent over an encrypted connection. Two outside services are involved:
- Apple delivers notifications and Live Activities. Apple receives the notification content — typically a score — and the device token needed to deliver it.
- Anthropic is used by one administrator-only tool that helps decide end-of-season awards from the statistical record. When an administrator runs it, player names and season statistics — the same information already published on this site — are sent to be evaluated. Nothing private is included, and this never runs on its own.
Children
The league includes players under 18, and their names and statistics appear in the league records just as every player's do. The app itself collects nothing from anyone who uses it, whatever their age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who wants a young player's name removed from the public pages should write to us and we will remove it.
How long we keep things
League records — scores, rosters, statistics — are kept permanently. That is the whole idea; the app exists so fourteen seasons of history stay in one place. Notification tokens are discarded once Apple reports them as invalid. Sign-in sessions expire on their own.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Meaningful changes will be noted in the app.
